I just received the kit of this nice plane.

The packing quality is awesome.

Every piece is neatly attached to layers of cardboard and protected by bubble wrap and plastic bags.

I'm planning to use:

CS 10 blade EDF with a 2855 2100kv motor on 5s. 70A ESC.

I'm using HK928BB for the ailerons. They require minor foam digging for a good fit.

I'm using the intermediate size of servoless retracts:

The LG wire is 3mm diameter so they fit perfectly on the trunnion.

The plastic housing on the wing was badly glued, but a little alcohol and re-glued back solved it.

The quality of the kit continues in the inside.

Hi Tartago-I just received my DH 110 Sea Vixen from HK but it came without the instruction manual. I have many questions and was wondering if you would sell your manual as I'm not having any luck with Hobby King and the Durafly website appears to be shut down.

I just maidened the Vixen and I must say that she is a winner.

With the recommended CG she balanced perfectly with the 2450mah 5s.

The take off run was a bit long, the plane felt heavy but she left the Tarmac gracefully, without jumping into the air.

I put 75% dual rates on ailerons and elevator and 80% expo on the steering wheel.

She looks beautiful on the air!

The CS has enough power for a relaxed kind of flight. I'm planning to use 6s for more punch.

I did some rolls, but she is very demanding on ailerons for this purpose so better to use no DR.

I tested her " floatiness" with zero power downwind and no issues, she can float easily.

Landing her was very easy, just turn to final, reduce power to 30% , let her sink slowly , reduce a little bit more until touch down and flare. No bouncing at all.

I did three 3' minutes flights, but it felt like much longer.

The batts went from 97% to 27 - 32% being a bit warm.

The booms are very solid, no need for CF reinforcement. If you manage to break one, is because the rest of the plane is also gone.

I'm about to pull the trigger on the kit version. I have a CS-10 with Cyclone 3300kv 4S motor and also an E-Flite 15 motor (4S 3600kv) with Eflite 5 blade fan and an 85 amp ESC with 5 AMP Switched BEC...I'm leaning toward CS just for power but E-flite would give me some longer flight times....I have tons of 4S lipos in the 3300 to 4000 range and that why I wanna keep at 4S for now...thoughts?

I've gotten no breaks on shipping by adding item in cart either. Man, the shipping is almost as much as the kit cost.

Trigger pulled on kit...$50 in shipping...OUCH! Even after adding retracts and servos.

You won't regret it. It's a nice plane.
