I grew up in Hawaii, spent 10 years in South Central Los Angeles and lived the last 11 years in Houston Texas ... I can assure you that the culture in all three locations are about as different as one can get ... and yet we're all in the same country ...

Cultures change from country to country, state to state and region to region. That's why the crime rate in say Iowa is comperable to say Sweeden, while the crime rate in New York city is more like Columbia. However, as an aggerate, the US crime rates are driven more by the large metro areas like LA, Detroit, Chicago, DC and Oakland than in small town USA or any other rural area.

Seriously, guys, the elephant is right there in the room with you. On the other hand, you're probably past the point of no return; it's not like you're ever going to be able to police up 300 million guns, even if you were all willing.

Why not just accept that more gun-related deaths are "the cost of doing business" in a nation so gun-obsessed?
Guns? Bow and arrow? Don't forget oil cans!

In other words, people don't kill people unless they have a gun.

It really doesn't get better than that.

And how many gun crimes in canada are committed with legally obtained guns?

You're not seriously suggesting it's only something in the water that makes Canadians kill each other with guns at one-sixth the rate of Americans, are you?

Get real.

Wow, you are a special warrior. Congratulations.

Being able to sprint >400 fps has its advantages I guess. It probably gives you a different perpective than us mortals who can only cover about 15 fps.

No, go back and look at the link in post 45, there was in fact a murder suicide involving an arrow and a knife.

Not very funny, IMO.
