If you would even bother to examine the demographics of the areas of the United States that really up the death rates by guns you will find that they skew the statistics of the whole country. If you through out drug related killings alone, it was make a huge difference. The culture of the United States varies greatly between the high population areas like Chicago and the real heart of America.

Nope.

You can't outrun an arrow.

Neither can you outrun a thrown object.

In some parts of the US that are heavy into violent crimes they are closer to Gaza than Canada. It's sad but true.

Seriously, guys, the elephant is right there in the room with you. On the other hand, you're probably past the point of no return; it's not like you're ever going to be able to police up 300 million guns, even if you were all willing.

Why not just accept that more gun-related deaths are "the cost of doing business" in a nation so gun-obsessed?
The gun isn't the elephant in the room. The gun is a scapegoat.

1. Did you exclude gang related deaths in that number?
2. Did you exclude felons or ex-felons in that number?
3. Did you exclude those with a history of domestic violence in that number?

In other words,

4. What is the number for law abiding homeowners or their families? Betcha, its not double.

We know this by all the beheadings and mass graves found in the U.S.

Okay. You got me. How many bow-and-arrow and ninja throwing-star homicides were there in the US last year?

Nope, strawman.

They weren't correlated.

I don't think even an olympic sprinter can run 400 fps, but I guess you can. Btw, check out a video called "surviving edged weapons," it will show just why you should bring a knife to a gun fight.

Anyone arguing that firearms do not offer protection from man or beast is incapable of understanding what they provide for the average Joe. Criminals use guns in order to intimidate victims primarily. Not gonna get an unarmed man to actively challenge an armed man. A man with a knife or a brick is an armed man also.
