ok so i want build brushless boat between 6-8 inches. i was trying to decide which hull when i then thought of the idea of driving it in the sea in very rough water n swells

has any1 ever tryed this if so how it go and what hull type did you have?

like if i fully waterproof n maybe put small bit weight at very bottom it should always turn right way up right?? looks means nothing to me in this build!?

if you want to build it though I guess a fully waterproofed, high power, scaled down offshore racer would work. I can try and post some plans I had found if you want

You want a mono self righting as Bob has shown- not a flood chamber type rather a high bubble cowl as the waves will at times force the boat under you want to pop up soon as possible with micro size hulls.

I was thinking of making one out of thin balsa and then mabey wiping some epoxy over the hull. I hope it works for you, I haven't had time to make one yet. no Idea for power system

ya i think il go balsa i am about to order it now how thick should i get it? 1.5 mm or is that too thin?

probly would work with the epoxy if u didn't hit anything to hard. if there is a michels craft store near you you could see if they have any balsa, they usaly do

I could go 3 mm bt dat seams too thick fr such small boat

ok so i jst seen these plans that i actually used before only made out of cardboard tho as was looking at it before doin propper build bt it seems a much much easier build than the other plans would it still work out at good or am i better with your plans bob?

I've built that boat 2 times now. never gotten it driving but it's cool. the plans have some huge flaws that really show up on full size but maybe on the boat your building it'd be fine. I think both boats are about the same complexity but the one I posted probly will handle waves better.
