DLE 55 or DLE 55 RA ?

Gonna get a 88" edge. The RA has 1,000 more RPM and rear exhaust. Will I notice a difference ? And do I need this extra bump ? Also. Would it sound different.

Debatable. You might be able to run a prop that is one pitch step higher but that's about it. Don't bet on a static 1000 rpm gain.

No. The regular 55 is a great performer, and with a bowman ring installed its a beast.

Depends. Many factors go into how an engine sounds. The exhaust porting is only one, and a minor one at that. The size, porting, and shape of a muffler has more influence and thats still secondary to the type and size of the prop you're running and the airframe itself.
