Help!
USB Controller as buddy for training

I have a USB "transmitter" which looks like a RC radio but has a USB cable instead of a radio transmitter, this then plugs into a PC to be used with a simulator. A real cheap piece of kit.
I also have a JR radio which has a socket/port for a trainer cable.
I would like to know if it is possible to somehow connect my USB controller, via some adapter, to my JR radio to be used as a training/buddy controller.
Does a USB adapter like this exist?
I have tried searching online but have come up with nothing - perhaps I am using the wrong searches.

Some of the older Futaba boxes could be converted, but not for use with JR/Spectrum.
The controller would have to be able to use own power source
as non is provided by JR Tx. Please conversions available under:

Thanks for your quick reply. This USB controller is apparantly wired as a joystick, so I would need some sort of converter (presumably with its own power source).
There is no link "Trainer (Buddy box) cables - DIY" under "Buddy Boxes, Flight Simulater & Interface". So I'm afraid I can't see what you are suggesting.

I think you find it easier and cheaper to get a bare bones buddy box off *bay or your LHS. The special gear/converter will end up being another thing to lose or sell in a g-sale, even if you could make it work. Could also buy a rtf plane with included DX5 and it almost free. Can always use a real second TX as a backup or hand down.
