I used 3M77 on my KI and clamped them in the vacuum bag before glassing a couple of hours later. Are you glassing the wings after ply?

I'm not sure if Sorghum is even available any more. This stuff is supposed to work but I haven't tried it so I dunno. I am thinking of getting a can to try on the Zephyr wings. I gotta find it first though.....

This might work too, http://www.loctiteproducts.com/tds/A_CNTCT_CC_tds.pdf

Sorghum is just a water based latex contact cement, there must be a suitable equivalent available.

Not sure if you can get it over there but Bostik MDF glue is what I use for sheeting , sticks like seagull poo on a beach towel and is fast grab

I imagine there would be something similar in the States

I know that "Dave Brown Products" no longer carries sorghum.

Brian- both the products you linked to carry this disclaimer:
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR:
 Metal bonding.
Very thin wood veneers. Excessive dimensional change may occur which may lead to
cracking when drying.
Bonding materials that will be exposed to continual heavy loads (structural applications).

wonder if our ply is consider veneer? from my old work days we wouldn't consider ply a veneer, but ....

Its has a slight yellowish colour (clear when dry) There is also a product (the name escapes me at the moment) but its used to stick glass laminate to blue foam ( they use it to make cooler or freezer truck bodies ( I know because my sons involved with it ) its a 2 part mix but it has the consistency of thin contact cement . If you have some place in your area that manufactures the truck freezer bodies you could give them a shout .

edit: this could be the stuff http://www.fosterproducts.com/defaul...etails&pid=142

Ply is not a veneer. Those are very fragile and putting water based products on them is never a good idea. And the heavy load thing does not really apply since the load per sq/ft on the sheeting is very light. I think the Loctite stuff will work fine. I just have to find it.....

Yes, and even THAT landing did not delaminate the wings! Just curious, but why are you looking for something "new" for the sheeting?

Austin hardwoods in Santa Ana has a pretty extensive glue aisle. There must be a place that sells exotics and hardwoods somewhere close to you guys. Rockler.com may have something, they are off the 91/55 in anaheim.
