My tomboy daughter is rooting for pink (because it's so manly). I've got the red paint already.

Bringing Up The Rear!

Dan and I bagged our wings at the shop on Saturday night and had two pairs of beauties on Sunday.

We used a single layer of 3.5 ounce glass. Dan used 14 mil mylars and I used 10 mil. I'll be using 14 mil. next time as it had no problems going around the corners and gave a flatter finish.

Finished weight on mine is 7.4 ounces (120 grams) per panel. Dan's was a few grams more if I recall.

The leading edge and trailing edge came out exceptionally well and the extra time spent on shaping the tips as flat as possible paid off as the mylars negotiated most of the curves and very little exposed basswood remains (we went very far!). A little drizzle of CA wicked at the edges was all it took to give us a smooth finish.

It will be a shame to sand the surface for the primer. But hey, this is not a woody!

I haven't been working on the Zephyr.
My surf club (I'm vp) had a large event thus weekend. 350 competitors. I worked from 5am till dark both days
I did get up early and do some work on other builds though.
Last night I did my first ever panel lines.
I will work on the gear tonight and post some progress.

Results like that make me realize how much I really need to get with the program and learn how to bag something, other than groceries like my friend Rubio! Wow, amazing results, almost too nice to do anything to other than leave it alone!?

Killer results.
