Both tomorrow and Sunday look flyable to me, albeit light-ish.

It hasn't happened yet, although I have talked to JOe fairly recently and he would still like to get everyone together...

Cheers,
Chris

3-8-14 Parker Mnt. 11 PEOPLE WERE THERE

Yesterday and today were two very good days to be flying at nostalgic Parker Mountain...Winds were great direction with perfect backside Friday and today was great with a little backside disturbance with only a few minor mishaps

Yesterday John Peters flew practically all day flying his personally customized flying wings, then Bruce (both were there today also) joined him later that afternoon flying his Destiny, that plane has some miles on it, Geez I mean that plane is getting a little soft... The things he can do with that plane is amazing

Today 11 people showed up, from San Diego to Tehachapi. Sorry I really didn't get many names.

We were flying everything from light foam with a couple of small Fur Balls, to mid sized composites. Wind today was around 25 to 30 mph, with big power all over the place, up high and really far back. We all flew until just before sundown. Sundays forecast doesn't look as good as today but who knows who might show up

Tim
ps. We all hope JOe is doing well...

Great stuff, Tim! Cool to see a report from Parker, and heaps of guys on the hill too!

I love seeing reports when speeds aren't mentioned too. Means a great days flying was enjoyed by all!

I used to fly there with the old crowd before speeds got in the way, and yesterday had that vibe. I have DS'd in many years, and didn't really have the right gear for Parker as you can see by the Shrike I am setting up. Nevertheless, it was a fun day, and meeting some of the guys that hand there now, and some of Marks buddies from San Diego was cool.

Since you noticed I need to start a thread on computer graphic stickers. Its the same material that they wrap cars and buses with. I am sure it will work great with composites as well. Dimensions and graphic ideas was all it took. Prices average about seven dollars a square foot. I have pictures of the install which took about 30 minutes instead of the usual 3 to 4 hours of normal coverings and lamination.
