Very cool! What motor are you using? There's a guy I talk to at the local gas station all the time who has the real 427 Cobra and the Factory Five kit. He races the real one in nostalgia events. I think he's nuts, it's worth a fortune! His Factory Five copy looks and goes better than the real one.

I hope it has a 5 speed! I just love these kind of cars. We used to build lots of cars like this back in the 60s. I think we did about a dozen small block Chevy/MG swaps, even did a Pontiac/ Jaguar swap. Those old English sports cars took a large chunk of cast iron, bored 4 holes in it for pistons and called it an engine. Even a large V8 weighed less. Did you know that the Jaguar independent rear end used lots of Ford F150 parts? I'd love to build something like the Factory Five Cobra, but there is no place I could drive it around here.
Anyway, thanks for sharing!

It's a built up World Class T5. The input shaft and 1st and 2d gear are beefed up to a rating of 350 ft lbs. Also first gear is a 2.95 ratio which makes a big difference on these cars when using a 3.55 rear end with 315/35/17 tires. This car will cruise around town all day in 4th gear and turn 2000 rpm at 70 mph in 5th all while getting 23 mpg.
