I didn't like the little ufo canopy and this offered a little more protection. I can top out on the celing without a blade strike and crash upside down and the board is protected. It's a soufl'e cup from a sample stand at the market. Bonus...I can see the led's when it's on.

it flew but i coudnt judge it that night cause it was windy and my back, right motor cap pop off before that. but it was heavy. mainly because of the 12v button type batteries. ill take it off. but it would be nice first to do an altitude testat night

Hi i am wondering if there would be sufficient power to power an 806 camera off the led socket without releasing the smoke.

No, doesn't bind to 9X (many times answered )
As far as I know the U816 doesn't have acclerometers.

I know that the U816 lacks, but the U816A seems to have, just check at helipal.com ....
By the way I haven't found any info about the 9X binding capabilities... that was why I was asking...

Ok, I'm confused, that U816 should have acclerometers.
But I also found this "6-axis" info on several other sites too.
Nevertheless, it doesn't bind to 9x

Do you really need acclerometers ? It's mostly usefull for FPV or 24h-handsfree-hovering

I don't need any, taht's why I'm flying FlySky compatible hybrids : v929/v939/H36

Dude you are reading in my mind, I mean the FlySky compatibility is more important fo rt Mr than the accelerometer...

Maybe, but you have reduce weight drastically (remove camera case, remove canopy etc.)
It isn't that easy to use a 808 on that size
