Very bad stabilized video (in software) - you can't say anything about frame performance from this video...

Your right it does say much at all. The motor mounts are different and the landing gear different.

Can I hijack this thread just a little? :-)

If I want to run the FT680 folding hexacopter with a Naza GPS unit on 6S (to be able to reuse the batteries from my T-rex 500) what motors, propellers and ESC's would be the right choice?

Thanks
Peter
PS: If OP finds this post "out of place", let me know, and I will start a separate thread.

Thanks buddy for the information.. Would it be possible to increase the legs' length by simply using longer CF tube so that i can have more ground to camera poles clearance without compromising its strength? Maybe around additonal 20mm more? And how big is the center plate? Its diameter looks big.. Thanks for your patience..

This motor uses 6S battery.. propeller range from 1047 to 1447.. this is within the the 10" to 13" propeller range for FY680.. maximum current at 16A only..

I ordered mine from cnchelicopter.com today along with a few extra parts. Can't wait till it gets here. I have also ordered maytech motors and esc's from a local/web vendor radicalrc.com, the ones I bought aren't on his site but he can order anything. Dave takes good care of me there and designed one hell of a Wright Flyer kit. He's always at Weak Sigals. Not sure on the gimbal yet but planning to carry an Nex5 or T2i. Also planning to make the landing gear retractable. I'm thinking Naza w/ GPS for the controller since I can't quite afford the WKM. It's looking like Wednesday for delivery. I'll do my best to document as much as possible along the way. I'll update as it comes.

legs should be fairly easy to lengthen, although the tube looks as though its bonded/glued into the metal bottom mounts, the top (hinge end) has a hex all the way through. Will measure the c/plate in morning and upload photo of it all folded

retracts should be a fairly easy mod, was thinking of going that route myself! (using a separate servo each side)
