GoPro 3 is really nice. No complaints. I have the Silver edition, so it's basically just a smaller Hero 2, but I do like the flat lens of the protective case.
The guys over on the askman gimbal thread seem to think the wood zinger props are the way to go, just as good if not better then the expensive graupner props. I have a set on the way but they may take a couple of weeks to get here.

I got the black edition. We really like the idea of the 120fps for some slow-mo footage.

I was also following Askman thread since it started and tried Zingers 9x4 with original DJI 2212, but they were overheating the motors when gimbal was onboard (even with no camera), probably because my altitude and overall temperature. That is something you must consider too. And then instead of Graupners I went for Carbon 11x5 from Foxtech on 2216. But before I could do some decent tests and compare flight times they got broken in a tip over landing. They are very fragile, even more than Zingers. I just received a new carbon set and waiting to finish my FY680 to start again.

Regarding Naza with Y6, you have to set it at assistant software, just as you would do to any new instal. Naza is not exactly plug and play out of the box. One must read carefully the manual a few times before trying to install it and do the setup for the first time. But after you find your way around it's pretty easy.

And yes Y6 is much better at wind situations and you barely need a gimbal so stable it is. But mine felt less locked on course than my original flat X6 setup that was a joy to fly. And I still got some wobbling on fast descents. Maybe better gains cold fix that, but I didn't have the chance to try it. Another factor to consider is that my Y550 (F550 clone converted to Y6) had too flexible arms and that didn't help at all either.

Anybody running mwc 2.1 on a crius se fc how does it compare to megapirate???
I'm looking at stability over response in the flight characteristics (dont mind it being on the slightly sluggish side)

Man look into the Hoverfly boards. They are so stable it's almost insane.
I have 4 of them now (2 sport and 2 pro) and I love them. Tried a Naza and hated it.
HF just flys SO smoothly with the proper gain settings.

Soon I should have a pro with a GPS unit and see how that all works. Also the HFP included 2 axis gimbal controller rocks. Really nice bit of kit!

It's a rather large thread now but there is a lot of information hidden in there. http://tppacks.com/store/ is the website for their equipment.

http://www.zingerpropeller.com/ has a good range of propellors that are reasonably priced. Much cheaper than the graupners and any carbon props.

Cheers

I just received my kit today. Started assembly and I know it goes without saying, but just in case...

THREAD LOCKER is your best friend.

All of these tiny 2.5mm thread & 2.0mm thread hardware CAN NOT be torqued on. Simply tighten snug with some blue/medium thread locker (Loctite, Permatex, etc) & you'll be happy.

I think my 680 is going to run 12" props on 6S. That works te math out to ~400kv motors...

Cheers,
Brian

Looking good!

Finally some affordable motors and ESC's with the correct specs.
