Hyperion Sniper x II Power system??

I have only been flying 3D planes for a few months now and was thinking about getting one of these foam planes, its in the 20 - 30oz class and I have a eflite park 480 1020kv motor laying around and wondered if it will be ok for this plane? if so what prop and pack would you use? it's paired with a 40 amp ESC. If I looked at specs right, it has 48" WS 1200mm

I fly mine with a hacker a30-28s (kv1140/v) and 1300 3S packs on an 11x5. It has plenty of power and gets 8-9 minutes of flight time. Being your motor is a bit lower kv I would move up to a 12x6 on a 1300-1500 pack. Keeping the weight down makes it a very floaty and fun to 3d. I bought mine used and it had a hacker a30-16m on it and was being used with 2200 packs... It flew fine but it flew a little heavy.

Most in our club fly it with the E Flight 480 and it is a great combination. Many use a 11x3/8 slow fly prop.

I use a hacker A 20-20L

Use a 1500 3s pack

Great flying plane

Thanks Guys! 11 SF prop is what I was thinking. I have 1300mah & 2200mah packs, I'll try both, don't think I have 11 3.8 prop? got some 11 4.7's will they work ok? if not the LHS will have.

11x4.7 will work really nicely, good for about 300 watts on decent batteries. For a bit of extra propwash, a 12x6 E prop will do really well also, but I prefer the slowfly just a bit because it is a tad more responsive due to its light weight.
