Year BMP085 is pretty much "last call". I have a few laying around anyway and figured I would start with them to avoid too many changes.

I will probably use MS5611 later.

have a couple of queries I hope someone could help with ...

I installed a 100amp current sensor from flytron and calibrated the current display using a volt / amp meter between the main battery and the current sensor - the OSD reads the same as the volt/amp meter when sitting at idle - 0.6amps. however, when I fly I see amps that are higher than I would expect - upto 68 amps with 3s lipo, 1020kv motors & 10x5 carbon props on a tbs disco frame. the MAH used is also incorrect - the OSD recorded about 3300mah (4500 lipo) but when charged the charger only pushed 2780mah into the pack ...

also, the character uploader once run still displays some chinese characters - it mainly affects the small text such as the GPS co-ords & # of satellites -

any ideas as to whats going on ????

thanks

For the 100A current-sensor, the calibration-value should be close to 0.98
// 25 A sensor = 0.24
// 50 A sensor = 0.49
// 100A sensor = 0.98

You can't really calibrate at ~600 mA, as the resolution is pretty bad on the 100A version. I would suggest to use the calibration value 0.98, or do a real measurement with WOT and compare current-sensor and current-reading from a multimeter or similar.

In regard to the character-uploader. All the small numbers are generated automatic in the character_uploader program. That means they are not visible in the normal character-editor.

Hmm that's weird. Are you sure that you have uploaded the sketch called Character_Uploader.ino? It can be found in:
MAX7456_OSD_v0_19\MAX7456_OSD_v0_19\Character_Uplo ader

The normal file called MAX7456_OSD.ino will also show all the characters in first/second boot, but that's mainly used as info, to show the characters and indicate that new settings are saved etc (but new characters have to be uploaded with the other sketch)

Did you have the OSD powered when you uploaded the char set?

Sorry guys, work have been crazy lately and I haven't had any time for DIY-projects.

I'll be going on vacation for 3 weeks in a day or so, but won't have access to a computer.
I have a lot of beers to drink and some mountains to climb

See you around

That must have been a wonderfull place to fly. I would really love to bring FPV-equipment, but with 4 people in the car and full mountain-equipment that's not gonna be easy...
