there are perhaps some other fan vendors that don't like competition...
Self promotion doesn't seem to get others blocked.

Taiwan Tornado 120/12/ 950kv

Hi,
here is a video from the first testrun with 12S 6200 mAh Chinahobbyline lipos.
Attached are the live log and the min/max datas
The 950kv motor is a Monster, itīs rated up to 12000 watts and of course on the heavy side. The Fan with motor is 1150 gr. without and 1350 gr. with thrusttube.
The Fan runs absolutly smooth with no vibrations at all and had a nice sound.

I’m looking to put one in a Fly eagle F-15, first I want to go with a twin Vasa 110 setup with open duct. But this will save some weight.

What batteries were being used on 14s? It looks like 180 amps at WOT?

I saw on the Tornado site the dimensions from the shroud, they say the motor mount has a diameter of 56mm, shroud, and the TP Power motors are 58mm in diameter. Anyone to explain this.

The graph is confusing me then, as red appears to be amps, which is showing 180 range, with volts dropping down close to 40 under full load?

I read the graph the same...big amps and big voltage sag...motor is too high a KV for that fan.

Yeah...i guess if you like heavy planes. those are 6200s already and dropping the batts below 3.3v/cell. 180x40=7200 watts for 19 lbs thrust That is 378W/lb of thrust...and the recorded amps from the ESC could be lower than reality...might be more like 190 or 200 amps with a clamp on meter. I like the 145 amp average of the 880kv and 3.4v minimum voltage. 41.5v x 145A = 6017 watts for 17.6 lbs thrust is 340 watts/lb thrust...much better in my opinion. OF course efflux will be higher on the 950kv for the speed freaks.
