It's true that russians never had a spitfire, but i just wantet my spit in winter colors, so i looked the scheme from a MIG

The tail on photo is not yet equiped with elevator, that's why it seems bit short.

Because this is my first motor plane, i flew it only 2 times, but i crashed it both times But it was never my fault. First time, the engine was not set up correctly so when i threw it, it just hadn't had enough power to take off.
The second time the plane flew, and was very neutral in flight, but after the second turn, the nut on the servo - aileron connection fell of, so i had just one aileron working, i culdn't get the turn and the plane went straight into the forrest and crashed into a 30m tree and than fell to the ground , but on my big suprise, only the first ribb with motor on broke, and the elevetar on tail was damaged
Now the spit is in garage for repair, and I'm also working on a new combat plane Mustang P51

Survived!

My Texan survived this first battle! It was by far the slower model, with his OS .15 CV and traditinal balsa wing structure, since opponents are all .21 Mvvs and Novarossi monsters with fiber fuse and foam wings, but it survived!

Two tails cutted, not so bad for a first time strike. And, ugh, a 200 points penalty for out-of-borders flying... Actually, my plane tipstalled and spin, so I tried to recover... Unfortunately, the exit form spin is when the plane itself decided: straight out of battlefield

Much many other combat pics on my site:

Come and see, RC combat in Italian style (our rules are a bit different respect to Usa and other Eu countries rules; tipically, we allows more powerful engines with tuned exaust and models can be more out-of-scale).

The Russians DID have Spitfires - MkVs and MkIXs - during WW2.

KI 61 and ZERO Electric Combat Planes

Many of us have purchased brushless setups to run our 3D planes. Now what can we do with that old GWS 300 or 350 "B", "C", or "D" drive and 10amp ESC? Well join in the fun and excitement of combat flying and events. Visit this thread for some possible ideas!

Here's my freshly repaired gremlin. These little guys are pretty popular up here in New England; we have a few Boston area clubs that host regular combat events for them.
