Well after a delay in the delivery I got my phantom this morning. Whacked the battery on and built it up ready for a flight on lunch. After waiting 3 hours the battery wasnt charged so I called the shop I got it from and it seems the charger is not working! Gutted is an understatement but hopefully a new one will be here in the morning ready for the weekend.

Has anyone else had any issues with the charger right out of the box?

Check Atlanta Hobby, seems I saw that option was available.

@peterg video looks great, my first change to see that corner of the world.

Actually if there were that much space anywhere in LA without a very big fence.. there would be 200 homeless tents and a ton of trash.

Here's a video of how the IOC works : http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=WEN5BKEULls

You gotta download Phantom Assistant first to Activate the IOC from here which was provided by TahoeEd:

No Ian, I've followed this thread from the beginning.
Chargers are very often the weak part of RTF bundles but I have to say DJI charger is like the other parts provided in the box, high quality standard and great manufacturing.
Probably a "melon" within the thousands of chargers already sold.
You're lucky, the wait won't be too long!

Couldn't get mine to charge, so threw it back in the box, thats were it has stayed and used a Charger I already had..

I was too impatient to try and sort it..

Whereabouts are you??

I am more and more convinced that for this bird:
1) the Hero 2 deals with the jello better than the H3 Black Edition (too high processor speed).
2) best footage: without any kind of gimbal but just glue!
3) balanced props, balanced props, balanced props, balanced props, and balanced props!! :-)

Just my 2 cts.

One thing I've seen is some suggesting the Hypersion 3S 2200mah lipo as a good size for an addon. However Hyperion uses a different balance lead so may not be compatible with this charge I would assume (still waiting for mine to arrive to see first hand).

Agree entirely. along with the Hero2 - if anyone have a ReplayXD handy, that camera shoot 1080p and is even less jello prone, and have a slightly adjustable stock mount that sticks on really easily.

Yeah. prop balancing is religion.. I keep revising them.

I'll have to try my Replay again. I found it ok but on some frames it great to mount but for others the length can cause issues. It should mount well however off the bottom of the Phantom.

Did you just attache it with one of the stick on mounts?

Biggest downside of the Replay is the lack of live video out like the GoPro other than via HDMI.

@FliteLab - I tried the Replay a couple of ways, it seems to work pretty good with the stock mount. but I also flew it with the suspended mount I printed for the arDrone which lets it float a bit more. I really like the look of the camera, the lens is less "fishy" and the colors look good.

(balanced props matters)

Do you have the 3DPrinter file for it by chance? I may have to print one off to try if you do.
