Question
DS171 Servos

Hello All

I purchased a second hand D60 with JR DS171 servos.

What is peoples opinion of the servo?
Can it run confidently on 6v?

Any other Vices?

Cheers

William

JR make very good servos, I would be suprised if you had any issues running them at 6v. They are rated for 6v use

Assume this one is or will be span-ballasted, Will.
Look forward to seeing it doing circles.

Don't think I am going to. servos are well in under the skins so don't feel like pulling them out.

The yellow model on the other hand has a flap servo out, and I will probably pull the other to (They are hitec 125's) upgrade them. While they are out I am thinking to put some between aileron and flap servos, in inboard of the flap. Dont think I will go as FAT as my first, never get the conditions to fly it. (Well there was the one day when I killed it) lol

True. And all the sites that claim 4kg dont give seperate 4.8 and 6v specs. Perhaps 4.8v may be safer??
