doesn't the wing joiner have channels/openings going through it? I can get just over 3lbs. in mine (not Energic).

Just a thought......

I was going to put a ballast tube in the fuse too, but I figured the wing ballast would be enough, like it is on the Precision. I also wanted to be able to remove and reinstall the tow hook. I hesitated getting a Precision because it didn't have a fuse ballast tube like my Ceres or Cyril. Tungsten ballast would do the trick though.

Yes, the Precision does hold plenty of ballast. I'm not saying that it doesn't, but I do prefer a plane that carries ballast in the fuse. It makes it easier to change ballast, you don't have to keep taping the wing. I think the Energic could benefit from a higher wing loading at times.

That was a nice video, but if the camera has the ability to not be on "auto focus", and is set to "infinity" or whatever the furthest distance setting is available, you will probably like the results even better.
It looks like a very nice flying plane!

Nice video. Looks like you had some good altitude. With that kind of heighth I was secretly hoping you'd let it drop in and rip (); but maybe that's material for your sequel!

Thanks for sharing.

Regards,

Victor

Energic Part Two

Victor thats as close to the hill I dare go, I am still a little sketchy plowed my spider just a few days ago usually takes a couple of months before I go risk taking again. However I did make another video of that plane. 15-20 mph ballast in the wing joiner only. I am trying to learn to do this video stuff I can see another learning curve ahead.
Energic Two (6 min 2 sec)
Enjoy!!
