No, I didn't mention it. Nor even made any thoughts about this 'ickle flat spot inside the mount - it fitted well enough for me without grinding it away.
Plus I didn't want to mention a "HighTech-Tool" like a Dremel in my Mini How-To - it was designed for beginners that may not have such things.

Changed that

Thanks, Steve!

A little dip of the plastic mount in some boiling water allowed it to just pop in....no probs.
I should've used it to stir my coffee with.

Maybe, ^, they've hired trained gorillas?
or should that be "Untrained?"

Hey... this is a good motor that passed the QC - it has the pinion NOT falling off....
back to serious: it is unbelievable how deep DH is sunk.
If DH would have built the Titanic it wouldn't even got to that iceberg....

Mike, That's a really "flash" avatar.

Has anyone paid the extra postage as a quicker way to receive stuff from China?
I'm getting really annoyed with this waiting.
I've got 2 iMax chargers on the way, a couple of heatsinks & those BB 180 motors plus lots of bits for the S 16D's.

Damn. That's enough to rot your socks, Steve. The 3 motors that I got a few weeks ago have the gear at the "correct" position.

No - no need for me to pay extra - I'm ordering LOOOONG in advance and spares for a certain bird even before I'm ordering the bird itself.
German nature, I guess....
It all depends how you handle it.
In my experience you can have RC items

1. cheap
2. fast
3. in good quality

Unfortunately you can only choose 2 out of these three at the same time.....

Edit: glad you like my avatar - even it shows no helo

I'm just trying to stock up on spares though.

Well, I got a refund for an iMax that hadn't arrived after 6 weeks, so I ordered another from a diff supplier & just because I added another couple of (out-of-stock) heatsinks to the order, they won't post until they re-stock. (They weren't o-o-s a few weeks ago.)
Can understand that they're saving me postage but I'm stuck without a good charger.

As for the end stops? was it? changing... I'd be checking your EPA's are not set too high.
Start from scratch with no arm on the servo & centralise the trims etc, then replace the arm
& see what happens. Maybe drop your %'s down a tad?
As you know...the gearbox has mechanical stops in them. They will not go further than about 120/140 Degs full throw, normally.
If you set them in-correctly, you'll strip gears or burn the tiny motor out.
Yes the end stops seem to have changed, I was using my thumb with the power off to check the full movement of the servo, when new the throw was half what it is now. Perhaps they are tight when new and only feel like they are coming up against the bump stops? The longest servo arm supplied with my Turnigy is the same length as stock.

My EPA's are set to 120%, I tried lower but that further reduced the travel. I am using a diff PCB which may be a factor although I suspect the Tx is not allowing full movement. If I hook up my std V911 Tx the movement is even less which shows the importance of how the Tx is programmed. Perhaps with my setup (V912 PCB) and a Turnigy 9x Tx the servo throw could be extended, but the cost is getting ridiculous of course. But more servo throw and a higher head speed from a better motor with perhaps less flybar weights could make this bird flyable in light wind conditions.

Sorry Steve, I meant the previous tail engine (syma if I recall?)
