Yeah, I don't understand the naming at all, as far as how the shafts are named.
It's as funny as the broken English in the manuals.
I used a 3/32 drill bit to make the hole,,the pins are .725-.730 in length
abs plastic rod ($1.75 lhs) more flexable
fiber optic grade rod ($1.30 ish at lhs) very stiff
------both will sheer clean if impact is heavy (just like the stk setup does)
you can make dozens of pins with 2 rods,,,
the other pic. is somthing I do to shim the head gap around the pin area
--drill a 7/64 hole in the poly. and than punch it out(coloring it makes it easier to see) than slip them over the pins before reassembling (if you feel you need to shim)
this settup works great at least in my experiences with non movable objects

^, Same here, Mike.
I have 2 sitting in the iMax box ATM.
The magnetic head feature is no good for the Li-Po's though, but you can get it close
& cuddly by careful positioning.

& HK has similar Nano Tech Li-Po's at a reasonable price.
Watch the shipping costs though.

Mine did.
I posted this at 6.10 PM Sunday 10th my time & the forum displays it as 7.10 PM.

It is now 6.54 PM.

[edit]
It seems to have corrected itself, now.

When you go brushless you would not use the UBEC but you would you the ESC to provide the voltage required by the receiver. I only used the UBEC because I had it for another project.

The green doughnut is part of the UBEC and is attached to the output wires. it is a ferrite ring and is used to decrease electromagnetic interference
Thanks for your answer, Mdigiovabc. I have a spare brushless 7.4v outrunner motor, main gears and 10 tooth pinions for my Wasps and I thought I'd try to use them if I'm going to add the extra weight of a second rx. HK has a cheap 3 ch rx that supposedly will work with the Flysky 9x (the rx that comes with it is too heavy). With that and a lightweight esc I should be able to make it work and keep the weight down.

I took out the 9x receiver from it's hard plastic case and the weight of the 9x rx out of the case is within a gram of the 9116 board. I was planning on eliminating the v912 pcb completely and using just the 9x receiver. I have been looking at the skyartec wasp v3 since it runs off of a 900 mah battery and has a brushless 4500 kv main motor and a a 12A esc. Your wasp has a belt tail drive so I was thinking of seeing if i could retrofit the wasp tail drive. Since you have the wasp do you think that this is feasible? if this is not feasilble then i would have to look at a brushless tail motor and esc. i have been looking at the Turnigy 1230 motor with a 6A esc. I'm concerned about finding the right combination of tail motor and tail rotor though. I was planning on using the Skyartec head hold gyro.

Not necessarily in this case, although the productions half-life period for the 9116 is long over.
DH is generally known for solder jobs that may teach you sth...
