Me too and . I bought one and I received it yesterday. It's well made from what I can see. Mine has the Walkera TX. I understand they are out of production
so you might be able to find one for less than 100 dollars complete with TX. I did. Of course, you need some spares, some batteries, add 50 bucks for that so for about 150 dollars you should be flying with a Walkera complete with shaft driven tail motor and a 3 blade tail prop. Looks really KOOL!!.

I cant believe it flys well

I got this idea from pics. that Pa flyer posted((correct me if Im wrong)) anyway
the c.g. is higher,, the tail is in clean air now,, and if you draw imaginary lines (representing pivot points and various axis, fulcrums and other handling effects. etc.) the affect on the main shaft has changed..
flew it today in 5-10 mph and it seems more responsive in the right ways..
its one piece Al. ,,and if it bends in a crash--just bend it back and gtg...
I quess I should start concerning myself with the main motor but it just wont die...

Notice in the video the V200D02 is very stable with the fbl head and 3 axis gyro.

I know this is a week late , I bought a replacement tail that was wired backward, hope that was your problem

Been totally wanting to do this, but haven't worked up the nerve yet. The direct drive tail conversion give me plenty of tail authority, but there is a bit of unwanted extraneous movement when snapping left and right due to the off axis location of the motor. Your layout looks just like these big dogs. Good stuff!

Just bolted on the 1003 head. Everything lines up.
I need to change the blades cause I left the black ones on and they have too much lift.
But it looks promising. Didn't see any pendulum effect, but I didn't have enough light to get too far off.

hey steve you have a link to where i can find those v3 skids just watched your video and if i would have tried that bump and go like you did cold as it is i would of busted up my skids

I just put a z-bend in my flybard and my head does feel more responsive. However, the heli feels more skittish overall and the pendulum effect from sudden pitch and roll changes seem to have been magnified. What do you guys think?

They are NOT exactly the same.
At the Turnigy the Transmitter module is soldered to the inbuilt upper antenna. So the module can not be removed without major changes.
You will not be able to stock up with a FrSky or DSM module without these changes.
You will have problems using the DSC port (e.g. for a simulator) - only with another mod (resistor soldered into the module) the module will not be dangling from its cable...

Do yourself a favour and buy a TH9x with the removable module, saves a lot of trouble.
You should also get a backlight, a rechargable batt (the cradle for AA batts is a hazard for the TX) and if you want to change the firmware to er9x (this firmware makes the difference!) a programmer to solder in or a smartieparts board
backlight, also avail. in white and green
battery I'm using, there are others that fit.

Important:
For using a LiFePo batt you'll need a multichem-charger like a B6 (Clone) or Accucell.
