The V912 PCB does this by default and so far is working with the 9116. But I have only done a few flights.

My guess would be that's all being handled on the PCB, where as in a 6ch heli and computer radio / rec, you can make those adjustments there

Great to know, I might try that out if there's no way to disable the original. What swashplate are you using with the unmixed servos?

You can run the std swashplate, I run a ZR Z101 top with 9116 bottom so that I get the brass knuckle bearing which is essentially the same but less friction on the shaft.

The V912 PCB binds with the std 9116 Tx. Switch on the heli at the same time as as the Tx.

Mine is probably 35 degrees, as the lower links I made
appear to be slightly too long, due to the changed angles
from slightly different ball link locations.

Then I also assume that the main blades should be 90 degrees in
relation to the swashplate balls. Mine are at roughly 100.
(again, 10 degrees off).

This would totally explain the strange behavior I've been getting.
I thought it was a crooked custom blade grip locator pin, but I'm going to
try this first.

On the MJX, the flybar is almost exactly 45 degrees from the swashplate
balls, and the blades are 90.
The ZR Z101 head I have on mine at present has different angles to the 9116.
The flybar looks about 45 deg off the line of the blades (as in if it had a feathering shaft) but when I hold the old 9116 over the top of mine and line up the flybars I see the "feather shaft" angle is off by about 2 deg and the lower linkage guides are off by another 5 deg. My swashplate balls are also not 90 deg off the blades but the flybar is about 45 deg to the swashplate bales.

It will be interesting to see how the two heads compare once we have our motors and offset mixers in place.

The link with the fp conversion is interesting, but I am not sure why he bothered considering it is a 90 deg fly bar. I would have thought he could have just set a fixed pitch on the cp head and almost end with the same result, without spending well over $100? Unless he didnt get a cp head in his kit.

hope this puts you on the right path to what you want to do as of brushless set up on the 9116

Maybe my flybar is not 45 deg to the swash balls. In the pic below both heli's have the swash balls at 90 deg to the tail shaft. Notice the different blade and flybar positions. The V911 at the moment is definitely the better performer and probably flys better in the wind.

The V912 PCB flys pretty much the same as the std PCB, although I am not getting as much forward angle unless I give it some aileron as well. Overall with my mods so far the heli is more stable in hover but not as good in forward flight. Hoping to change the forward flight. I have the 180A pro motor coming and a V912 tail motor which I am hoping will work better off the V912 PCB.

This motor is 11,000KV because of the low supply voltage.

On a 9116, which is 2S, I'm thinking we will want a 3500-4500 KV motor.
The stock brushless motor in the Wasp V3 (2S) setup is 4500 KV.

To keep the price down, I'm looking for aftermarket motors.

OEM motors always cost more, the motor in the Walkera 180 series
(basically same size as the 9116) is $25, but a comparable
aftermarket motor is $10-15.
check out the walkera 180 it has all brushless setup and it runs off a 2s 1000 mah bat.those parts might interchange
