DH 9116 Pinion Gear Spec
Is there anyone who knows the pitch of the pinion gear. Its the only piece of the puzzle I don't have. 8-T / 2mm shaft Dia. / pitch ?. I found one on ebay with a 32 pitch. Thought I'd give it a try if the pitch was the same.

Below is WRONG.
Closer inspection shows its not any of the pitches that were from my RC car days. A 48 pitch 1/10 scale car pinion looks like it meshes but it's slightly off. Sooo, I don't have a clue. I will find out. I have every pitch ever made from my RC car days. I'm guessing it's 48 without looking. Yup. A 48 pitch pinion and spur I had in my parts box mesh perfectly. I made a diagram for future reference. |

I hesitate to comment - I just know someone here is an expert and won't like this answer.
An easy formula to calculate the pitch is divide number of teeth + 2 by the outside diameter. A good reference for all the formulas is here. There's a couple different ways the pitch is given - like on the walkera helis it's given as .4 mod. There's a calculator to convert them here. |
