Photos of an old home undergoing an effort to save it.

Here are 2 photos I took today from my quadcopter. I found a camera that works great (well at least for me) for this type of work and it's relatively cheap. I got a Nikon S3300 from Adorama on Ebay for 59 dollars shipped
The subject is the "Cracker House" in St Joseph, Mo. It was built by the Sommer family, the originators of the saltine cracker and the founder of Nabisco. Anyways here are two shots I took today along with my rig. Just don't pay any attention to the camera. I took some earlier shots of it today to have a vinyl window decal made from for my pickup window.
I'm helping a local preservation group trying to obtain funding to restore this old mansion to it's glory days. They've got thier work cut out for them.

They must have raised the price a little. Now they're 67 dollars. Still not bad with free shipping.

The only thing I don't care for is the mounting bolt is way on one side. I did manage to compensate for it though. I made an aluminum adapter that has a zip tie on one side and a bolt on the other. It works great.

It's just a simple block of wood with a servo attached to it. That's pretty much the way I've done all my cameras.

I've been doing this ever since I shoved a lense back into a camera on a noseover. It's just a section of pvc pipe painted black and glued on with Shoo Goo.
