Wow. A huge company taken down by an obnoxious minority. That really stinks! Open your eyes, America!

Ho Ho's are so much better than the other brands, and Twinkies, and all their other stuff. I'm really bummed

The loss of Hostess is bittersweet....

As a little kid our parents would say 'be good and you could have a twinkie or a cupcake'...But after the sugar rush it was so hard to stay good because we were bouncing off the walls....I also grew up on Coca-Cola and Pepsi too.

Today I try to keep my kids away from such sweets and tell them that Soda is for the grown-ups. (Even though I rarely touch the stuff anymore) This is simply because that stuff is so darned bad for kids (or anyone else for that matter)...

I do have fond memories of Twinkies though..When I was 5 I would call for my neighbor who was the same age and we would walk down the block and get Twinkies from the old lady that we would affectionately call "The Twinkie lady"...It was a different world then.

Unions were a good thing once, but their leaders got too powerful and too greedy.

Word is that they didn't tell the rank and file everything, because they WANTED a strike---.

Which will put about 350,000 people out of a job---.

This is very very sad indeed. The only things guaranteed to survive a nuclear holocaust, future milleniums, and the end of the world this coming December are cockroaches, alligators, and Twinkies. And I was so looking to take a box or two with me into eternity !!!

Years ago back in CT a gent owned a good sized bus company, school busses and busses for hire. All the stories say he was a good man to work for, decent wages, good bennies, etc. A union came sniffing around and agitating with his employees. He told his people point blank if they joined the union he would close the business down. Well they did and he did. The day after they voted he locked the doors and never re-opened. The union did a good job for the people there.
