Nice work, Jim. I have to attempt this ESC job, especially for the micro model as need to reduce the ESC length as much as possible for a clean fit.

Larry

Hi Larry,

There is no shipping charge on the M frame. Shipping charge only applies to fully built quads 400mm or larger. Since the frame will be shipped not assembled, you can let me know what size you want it and I'll have the arms cut to size. So let me know what size you want. CNC landing skids will be included with both the CNC 355 kit and the M frame.

Also note that I drill the arms on the M frame to standard 16/19. If you plan to use motors that do not fit this configuration, I can always leave the arms not drilled and you can mount the motors on yourself. Please confirm.

OK, so I'll wait to hear from you on the size of the M frame and whether I drill the arms for you or not.

Best,
Chris

If so, which cam, where attached, how, and what results?

thanks

I have put my GoPro on my Armattan 400, right on the top plate. It could also be mounted on the bottom and move the battery to the top. In this video I am flying LOS.

Shafter, where or what kind of goggles where you using? Could you post some links to the cheaper FPV setup like you have?

No goggles here, cheap ones are useless, for a nice one you must spend +300$, it's a big overkill for me at this point.

I used my macbook air + easycap + easycapviewer software but it's not 100% solution.

You can see it in my video on top of the roof of my car, and reciever on the pole in front of car.

I want to grab some 7-10" LCD, but it must be without famous bluescreen and they are hard to find in normal prices.

Then install it on my 9X, and have everything on hand, no need to deploy "ground stations".

Rest is simple:

Video TX/RX

http://www.dinodirect.com/1-2GHz-12-...?DDID=3520-616

Powered 12V via JST lead from PDB

Camera

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-DVR-808...item2a20b389dc

Powered 5V from M2 BEC.

Cloverleaf antennas are from polish DYI guy, 20$/set -> they are key to good range

DISCLAIMER:

All above ^^ was written by a guy who was really laughing off all this FPV hype.

Somehow i ended up buying 808 camera, then screwing it to V929 then to Armattan and that's how it goes on ...

Watch out guys, it's really addictive

p.s. Chris sorry for cluttering your thread

I believe you. I could never have guessed that my family giving me an S107 would result in me having an Armattan quad and a huge fleet of other helis before the year was out. I love AV and I am sure I'll love FPV once I get to that stage. For now I just need the darn post to get here so I can finish connecting my RX to the Armattan. I'm waiting for batteries and 3pin cables for the RX to KK2.

Snap! Also I need to get a charger that will accomodate 4s lipos as mine only does 2s and 3s.

Still it was fun unboxing, inspecting, balancing props etc!
