i guess i will be looking at 9s2p 5000 mah battery and with having a 400 amps saftery zone i will be fine cause i hope not to pull much more then 200 amps if possible.

Safe for how long?

Should be safe enough. By the data logging of my Castle Hydra Ice 200 running 9s 2p on the 2028 in my Falcon cat with a X460/3 my PEAK amps hit around 200. Average amps over a 6 lap run come in in the low 100's. It's close to a 70 mph boat. (GPS'd at 69 and change)

well im still figuring out a few small details still. also about where should i mount the stinger on the hull. and i notice that there is one for a 1/4in gas motor and a 1/4in nitro. which one should i look at. i would think the gas version.

On the stinger, I normally mount mine where the bottom of the stinger's mounting base is about 3/32" to 1/8" above the bottom of the hull.
Whether you choose the nitro or gas version would be mostly up to you. I'm running the nitro version on my 47" Promise hobby mono. The main thing is to go to use the 1/4" shaft version with the power a 2028 makes.

i knew that i would have to go 1/4in on the shaft. but is there a difference between the gas and nitro versions?
