I've noticed comments on a few threads accusing vendors of trying to "buy" good reviews by sending product at no charge.
I have sent product at reduced costs to several people, and asked for build and flight videos, including a candid assessment of the kit. This isn't about buying a good review.
It does three things:
1. Its generates exposure for the product and our business.
2. It creates a resource for my customers to use when they build theirs.
3. It provides feedback to the manufacturer on mods that would help future production runs.
It is a costly endeavor in a market with thin margins, but a worthwhile investment if you plan on being around for a while.
