I have had an electric Volcano for a good few years now. I use it to thermal and stuff, but I would say it may lean a little more towards the speed end of the spectrum, and the Alpina may have a better L/D. The Volcano has a short fuselage, and some find that that makes it a little "nervous" (I don't). There won't be much difference between the two at the end of the day - a pilots skills would be much more likely to make a difference in all the aspects you mention. I would go for the one you like the looks of
