rocker answers

I've got a 29" mono with a 3674 motor with a 440 prop on 4S. Now i found 2 rockers between motor and transom with a rocker on each side of keel. The only way i know to fix this to lay basswood strips that are 1/4" x 1/4" in dimensions. What i think will work is to lay strips from keel out toward chine line about 1" apart to make bottom flat. The keel is good. Man, boaters this needs your help and sure could use exoertise on this, THANKS! The rocker is 3/16" deep and bottom has been f/glassed.---- Can't be fixed.

How bad is the rocker? You might be able to sand/fill it away.

Make sure you sand and clean the area very good . You might even consider drilling some small holes to give the Bondo a better grip . But filling the depression and sanding is the best way to go .

rocker

I contacted boat builder and he said rockers are built in, but said cold and warm weather can cause warpage if stringers aren't put in. Mine didn't have stringers, but just m/mounts are in place. I took it on my own after you gentlemen posted.and put basswood at the 4" line from m/mount to transom and are 4" apart and epoxy them in. Guess what , i had to remove the basswood and left epoxy which left 1/16" rocker on each side and both sides are now equal in rocker depression, and right in the middle of trim tabs area and 1 1/2" in from transom. I guess all the work paid off.
