I'm sure they can, but not by a mere human like me.
Because I don't posses a microscope and 80 dollar IC clips.

They are rebranded AEO ESC's can be programmed with a card.
Also sold as Moxie 5A ESC by LowpriceRC and card.

If you're not reflashing them, try the program card.

I guess you can do it with the TX if you're patient , some ESC's has functions that are not available by TX programming.

Ive tried setting it with the remote, setting startup to "fast" didnt do a thing, so I tried "super soft",
which resulted in a spin up that was almost comical. So programming was working.

Unfortunately this means this is as fast as id get em. Which is not good enough.
So if anyone wants em...

So... Just reflash them with custom FW and use on multicopter?
Should be easy (they got 8L if photo provided earlier is correct).

They're not 0.2mm AFAIK.... MLF? Should be doable with some patience (i did that with basic tools, on few ESC's).
And... Maybe there are pads?
You got close-up photo?

This isn't a normal run of the mill fat amtel IC, its even smaller then that, and no pads.
Trying to solder a laquer wire to it would be insane, and once that solderingtin bridges even one leg its game over.
Yes its possible but youd need hair wire, a magnifier, and some kind of extremely sharp and thin iron.
Not what id call basic soldering...

You think HKs new Atmel programmer will work on them?

You mean that big white "stamp" looking thing? I think that only fits the regular sized IC's.

Right. I'm not even sure what the "regular" size is. Anyhow, glad I went for the Supermicro ESCs, it seems like they have pads for programming the CPU so flashing them with BLHeli should be easy. Still waiting for my Arduino Nano though, I need to reprogram that to turn it into a Silabs programmer.
