hi Donkanan, well i would say that to build a swift you will have to be able to use a hot wire cutter, and get an airfoil template, it takes some skill to do that, and have a look at the KFM airfoil thread, its the easiest foil to make as it is flat pieces added on top of each other, http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1117276
it does not matter which airfoil you choose to balance them, they are all the same to balance, and if you do scratchbuild one yourself, you can use the cog calculator here http://fwcg.3dzone.dk/ carl |

Not in one piece, but the two wing cores will still need to line properly, preferrably with the curves I've mention and downward fold. I wasn't ever trying to disencourage you though. Built and have fun, you'll figure it out and part of it is doing the research you do right now.

here are a couple of wings that use the KFM foil, i have built and flown them and they are great for beginners to experts, and they have PDF plans
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ighlight=divin http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ighlight=divin http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ighlight=divin and this one is not quite KFM but may interest you to build, it has build videos too http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1619684&highlight=flying+wing have a good read, and just try one, you will get more involved as you build more, then you can design your own once your happy with building them, i hope these help you carl |

Here is a nice thread for a swift 2 kf4 wing. 32 inch wing span maybe a little smaller than what you want but easy enough to scale up and very good build thread. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...highlight=kesl

Thank you very much everyone. I ended up building an ultra micro version with inspiration from the little wing called David and another wing made of a friend of mine :-)
It flies great with the guts from halfdead sukhoi :-) 400mm wingspan and a weight of 30 grams I Think i Will go for a larger scale of it as a next project. |

Hi Donkanan,
sorry a little late. See you have already built something, but may be of intetrest to you (either still or in the future)..... Try having a look at Leadfeather's Firefly, similar to swift, could suit your OP request, easy to build and fly great.... |
