Exceed racing 49" hydro gas powered transformation to electric easy?

im trying to change my gas boat to electric and i about would like to go 70 -80 and suggestions on what type of engine i should use and what type of esc i would need and what type of battery i would need as well and do i need to change my servos and anything else i would need to make my boat go this fast thanks !!

is this esc HBW-SEAKING-180A big enough to run a leopard 5692 brushless motor? for my 49" hydro

No it is not. To run a large hull you need low kv motors and high voltage to keep amp draw levels reasonable. The Seaking 180 is only good for 6s. and you will need a minimum of 8s (10s would be better) to keep the amp draw down to a useable level. Bottom line is you are going to have over a grand in this boat by the time it's done if you do it right. There is no bargain basement for making a big heavy boat run fast.

Look through some of the large boat builds here. There is a wealth of useful information if you are willing to read it. .

I think you'll have a hard time hitting over 70mph with it as well, they seem to run well in the 55mph range, but I don't know if they'll stay on the water at 70mph.
