Taking a break from the Hobby.
Though most of you don't know me and I am sure many have not even interacted with me on the forum, you all deserve thanks; this forum rocks. I have been a member of a number of forums over the years but none embodies the community spirit of the internet better than this. You are, all of you, kind, helpful, informative and entertaining- as a member I hope I have been as useful to some as some of you have been educational to me.
So why all the gushing praise? Why all the reflection?
As you could have guessed from the title of this thread, I am taking a break from the hobby. Or at least a mini break. Over the past few months things have changed for me; 6 weeks ago I lost all my planes in a fire in my workshop, all I have left is a Hobbyking Micro PCB Quad and my DX8; I have just started a new job which is pretty full on leaving much less time in the evening to play about in my workshop and finally I have met a lovely lady who is taking up a lot of my weekend time (not that I am complaining a single bit).
For the time being my hobbying activities will be restricted to some FPVing with the Quad, in the new year I will hope to kick start again however it may be a slightly longer break.
Just wanted to let you know in case you wonder where I have gone...
