Where to buy GWS flight pack?

I need to get a GWS flight pack for my heavy-stik (it was a lite-stik but becoming heavy after I add the 2 oz. receiver and ESC).

I searched on the web and I have checked goflyit, Balsa, great lake, littleshopof hobbies, radical RC and ebay. Prices range from 69.99 to $95. Some are called Naro and some are called Pico (I guess I need this one). To make this more confusing, some give you the selection of crystal and some don't. (I guess I have to buy the xtal somewhere).

Could anyone recommend one dealer with reasonable price and with everything (xtal and pico servo)?

Thanks.

Forget about getting a GWS Flight Pack, there's a cheaper way to do it. Go to Servocity.com & Buy (2) Hitec HS-55's Servos at $19.95 Each with FREE Shipping! Then Log onto RadicalRC.com & get a GWS ICS-50 Micro speed controller for $15 & then also a GWS R4-P WITH crystal for $28 + Dave only charges $2 for shipping, that adds up to $82.90 with shipping! Hard to beat but if you need the battery that comes in the GWS Pack, that might be the better deal but if I buy the GWS Pack at my LHS, that guy charges me $10 for the Crystal, that puts me at $102.00 with Sales Tax figured in + I have lots of batteries already.

mrebman,

It sounds like a good idea.
I have checked the radicalrc site (http://members.aol.com/davthacker/edge540.htm), but can't find the neither the receiver nor ESC, could you put the link here.

Thanks.

Dear Houng-wen,

I checked the link, but there was "directory listing denied".

Just another off topic idea as others have suggested, GWS should go into the brushless motor business. This is not a high tech business any more, we just need the volume to make it cheap. And if GWS makes it cheap, we definitely will buy more, then the cost comes down even more, then we will buy even more. I believe the production cost would be less than 1/5 of what we have to pay today. Both GWS and we would benefit from this.

Can I use my HITEC FM 3 channel radio with the Flight Pack?

I want to get an FD, but I do not want to buy another radio. Will the flight pack work with my HITEC FM radio on channel 22?

That's what I'm using it on. Try also using a loaded short antenna from Azarr. Gets rid of the long tail.

Just Email Dave - He does not have everything he sells listed on his web site, Why? I don't know why, I would. At any rate, getting the R4-P receiver WITH crystal for $28 is really the best you will do on this & $15 for the GWS ICS-50 is a steal. I have given lots of business to Dave & he has always come through for me.. His website says that he will be E-Business Capable with online ordering soon but don't know when. I would recommend http://radicalrc.com any day.

I've bought a bunch of Feather packs from Servo City but that's by far the best price yet. I use the GWS packs also and I haven't had any problems with glitches on my feather packs as has been reported. I use both but you sure can't beat Dave's price on GWS stuff!
