Gatewing X100 at the Trimble Dimensions Conference. This is an autonomous mapping and surveying drone. I definitely would like to know more about the internal electronics.

At an aprox price tag of 50,000 dls I think is in the same league as Dragonfly started a few years ago... Offering an innovative product that really costs a small fraction of the sale price but offers something you may be able to achieve at a lower cost as technology evolves. The plus I guess is the software they are using to make the mapping. I wonder if this can be achieved with a DJI wookong s800 platform with multiple waypoints planned carefully to make the grid usable for making the mosaic arrangement. I even think the quality of the camera would be much better with a Nex5/7 or GH2 than with the tiny small camera the Gatewing is using... (just for the quality of lens and sensor)
They are charging a bunch load of money for things multirotors do much better right now, like failsafe, very stable footage, waypoints... they are using googlemaps for reference SOOO If I had the cash I would rather invest in a fully loaded DJI product than in an FPV plane with a self proclaimed high quality camera... You will save like 40,000 dls ... So whatever software they are using I don't think you need to cash out 40 grand to have same or much better results....just my 2 cents..
