He obviously had a point regarding XPS. If not, why was the system changed from the original hopping(?) algorithm? After the change, he stated that XPS is as good as other systems, dealing with interference.
That's a good question! The answer seems to get skipped over by the fact that it was changed at all. The ONLY reason for the change was to comply with a change required by ETSI's EN300-328 rules. The new rules went into affect in October of 2008, and it requires continuous hopping for systems that do hop at all. I would have NEVER changed the system if it were not for this requirement. In order to sell a product in Europe, you have to abide by the ETSI rules, much like to sell a product in the U.S. it must be FCC compliant.

Well its a good thing you did change the hopping to full hopping if only to make me feel totally safe from any interference as i fly the most dangerous rc's 50 size helo's with 600mm carbon blades and yes the 12s 600 and 700's are faster and more dangerous.

Most of our customers in the U.S. still use hopping mode 1, so not much changed.

No need for a survey. We know how they come back to us for firmware upgrades. Instead of getting the XDP, we have a ton of people that just purchase the firwmare upgrade and ship their stuff in to get updated. We leave it in whatever mode it was in originally, and that is mostly mode 1 - adaptive.

talking about not much changed;

Just noticed the opening comparaisons specs on your web home page still states; "receiver pricing $29.95 - $99"

10-channel receiver is $119. Time to change things!

Just after the 1st of the year. I am still waiting for them to show up on my door step. Then we have secondary assembly (through hole pins, and antenna wires), programming, and testing - then the label is added and packaged.

Will there be enough or will it be a "pig pile" for the first ones?

There should be enough to last awhile. I was told today to not expect them until the 8th. Ugh. That gives us 1 day to do secondary assembly, program, label, test, and package - before the AMA show.
