We started importing them because of price , but also because the ones with CF infused are stiffer then the ABS style and also stiffer then the APC propellers. I have a local QUAD expert that gets paid to research quads and he tested these compared to a couple other brands.

I fly them on my stuff now because of the colors. The Orange and black are very easy to see when I am doing LOS stuff.

I personally mostly use the nylon/cf on most small to mid sized frames and the wood on larger setups.

What would you consider large? I have not tried the wood ones yet, but only have a QAV and Hornet.

Well I guess not super large but I've used the the 10" wood on my custom F550 with MT2216 900kv motors running 4s and had good results. On 700 size hex I will be running the 12" on 2814 770kv motors on 4s.

I've tried the 10" on smaller motors on some quads but I found they didn't react quickly enough as the props are heavier. They wood seems to need motors with a bit more power.

Going to try them again on an Aquacopter frame running MS2216 900 kv on 3s as a test this week if I can get time.

Here is a video of the 10" GemFan props on Aquacopter frame with MS2216 900kv motors. They seemed to work well on this setup.

Its nice having all the gear protected for sure. Just wish the battery mounting was easier. I think I'm going to try and move the FC to the bottom.
