Radio

I could use this as I'm putting a plane together for my son. I've been looking for something cheap.

I could use this for a project I have been wanting to do, but I do not have the money for servos and battery at the moment.

FWIW, judging by the old style Futaba connectors on the servos this transmitter is not going to be legal in the US. It may be too old to be narrow band.

maybe wrong but best I remember there were some of the futaba's with the old style connectors that the transmitter was already narrow banded just had to get it stickered, but the recievers were still wide band!?Or maybe old age is getting the better of me!

THE F series was I think the last non-narrow band radio but I could be wrong. I guess what I'm saying is that this is probably legal.

Nice radio, unfortunately the AM band 4NL IS NOT a legal radio and can't be made narrow banded
Heres the info, about half way down the page.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't run my Slow Stick with it at an empty schoolyard.....but then again I am a Renegade

What makes the frequency illegal to use? and is this still available? I would like it as a display....

It's not the "frequency", it's the fact that this transmitter being a wide band 72meg could potentially interfere with adjacent channels.......bleed over slightly. That's what the '91 regs did to improve, by narrow banding the radios they are much less likely to bother close channels.
