I was thinking a bout a cap 232 do you think it might be a good choice. but the thing is that i only found plans that have about 5 feet of wingspan. I was thinking for a minimum of 6 feet because of the weight of the engine. Do you think it mght fly? What wingspan do yours have?

I'm flying this plane with a dle 30 but a buddy of mine is flying it wit a much smaller motor
I suggest fiberglassing the motor box but it's a really nice flyer

here's a video of me flying her.
Now I'm just recovering from a stroke like disease and you can see how well I'm able to fly her even though I have limited use of my hands
Big greeen (4 min 45 sec)

1/4 Scale (30cc) 3d/airshow planes will probably have 74" wingspan or so. Sport planes might have a larger wingspan, and 1/4 scale cub has a longer span.

Like what Hutinstuff stated is pretty much it. But it does depend on the plane design. For example a Hangar 9 Tiger Moth biplane has a 88 inch wingspan and uses a 20cc engine. A Hangar 9 PA-18 1/4 scale plane has a 114 inch wingspan and uses around a 26cc to 30cc engine. Then there is the Hangar 9 P-51 1.50 size Mustang plane with a 80 inch wingspan and for 26 to 30cc engines too. Thus the plane design and airfoil shape of the wing can affect what engine works for it.
