Logging Energy ?

I have an e-logger V4. Need to log and display energy usage in watt-seconds vs. time .At present, energy capability is not available. I understand it can be done manually by multiplying average watts x time, but never-the-less I would like to see logging and a chart..

Bill, Yes, I would very much like to see energy usage added as a logged drive parameter. I also would like to have a manual start button to trigger a logging session. When comparing ET to Unilog 2, I see that Unilog has both features.

Hi rivers,

Thanks for the request. By a button, do you mean a physical button on your plane, or a "soft" button controlled by a receiver output? For what it's worth, we used to offer an accessory that consisted of a button and remote USB that could be mounted on the side of the plane. Nobody bought it, so we discontinued it.

Hi Bill,
What I'm requesting is a new logging trigger that could be called "Manual" (there are three trigger choices now, so this would be a 4th). The button could be a physical push button on the back of the v4 board or a virtual button on the pc screen. In either case a logging session would start when the button is pressed. This is for bench testing not in-flight testing.

The PC software already has a virtual button, its called "Live Mode".
I do agree it would be nice to see a manual logging trigger in the OSD Pro flight options.

Thanks garris2, you are correct. Live Mode data can be logged, and the logging session controlled on or off with the live mode screen button. Upon closer reading of the manual I found that the activation of this mode is under Software>Set Live Mode Options> Check here to log Live Mode Data.

OK, that's good. I still would like to see energy usage be added as a data parameter, preferably in watt-seconds units
