Maiden was successful and I got the Camel home in three pieces. I lost the gear wood struts on second ROG attempt. I would consider it a "successful" flight in all the terms though. Need to make some wing and thrust adjustments though. Pulls real hard right on take off. I had to trim in a lot of left aileron due to improper washout on top wing. Will probably try a prop with a little more pitch or larger diameter. Just had a hard time getting her off the ground. I will correct these before another attempt. Below are the proof of flight.....

Congratulations! The plane looks terrific in the fog - i think foggy conditions somehow fit these old WWI birds. Maybe because everything looks so black and white like in those old photos.

I agree with gupi... the plane looked wonderful in the fog, "flying out of the past."

What did you use to stabilize your son's video? I got some old stuff that would LOVE to have that kind of treatment.

I used the video editor from youtubes video manager. Upload to their site and go to video editor and click "stabilize".

Thanks Per/Lb. Hey, how did you change your moniker? Yeah, I think it is a great addition. Anyway, made some changes to her after the flight. Had to even out some washout and went thru a series of retesting the props on the watts-up meter. I did not get the same results as when I first tested. I am gonna try going from a 11x4.7 to a 12x5 and sees what happens...
