Very sad news.. HMS Bounty replic sunk in hurricane

title says it all,
The Replic of HMS sound has sunk in the Hurricane Sandy, the crew abandoned ship but tragicly one crew member died and the captain is still missing

Sad news indeed...

But:
They thought their schedule is more important than their safety.
Now they donīt even have a schedule anymore.

A very expensive (loss of lives) lesson learned.

When available, the facts will be enlightening. They supposedly were confident in making home port in time, but the diesesl engine failed, then the bilge pumps went out.

How many "Bounty" replicas there are? Anyone knows? We have one based in Sydney, painted it hundreds of times. I wonder if someone will be able to salvage it, Joe.

There was this one: the Brando Bounty, and yours; the Gibson Bounty

The Brando Bounty was larger then the actual ship - I think the Gibson bounty was more authentic, at least in scale.
