I just re configured my micro stingray for moitor and 6400 on top of wing. Going to be breezy here today but i will probally try it anyway. Too long to wait for the gym next week. Hope you dont mind varying from the plans.

FYI Mine flies perfectly with the RX on top, battery on bottom- What a wonderful plane!! I can't wait to make it significantly smaller and faster

Had some leftover gray Depron and thought this would make and thought this would make cool Micro StingRay with a brushless set up on a vapor brick with a Steve converter.

I am glad to hear that progress is being made on overcoming some of problems with different bricks. I just got a clone brick off of Ebay of the 6400. It binds well, but one servo is on the elevator stick and the other on on the rudder stick on the left. I was able to add a mix so that the right stick controls the rudder servo, but working out the elevon details is the next trick. Maybe try V tail mixing.

Okay, just got done testing and the v-tail mix works perfect for the brick on the bottom setup for the AR6400.

Here is the setup and mix;
1. Reverse the Elevator
2. Aileron > Elevator, Rate: +100%, +100%

That is all.

When the Dx6i first came out I a problem with the mix on a wing. I'm not sure if this is the problem your having but I called Horizon and found the book was misprinted. I can not remember the fix.

This worked the same for me with same components


I tried AR6400 and it doesnt get full travel, have to use different mixes and is a PITA

When am I gunna fork out cash for a DX8?

Mine would loop very quickly from level but has the mustang motor. It was a little sensitive to control but everyone was impressed with it. once I get it dialed in it will be Awesome. Thanks Ken for sharing the plans.

I would still like to have an answer as to why our transmitters program differently than everyone elses?????? Anybody

Razor, do you need the mix for the 6i? I have the mix for the Champ rec on bottom and the mix for theMSR brick. Msr brick doesnt have as much throw but shortening the control horns fixes this. Also for the 6400 in normal position. Now that I can reverse onboard servos I may be able to mix for 6400 on the bottom. All with 6i TX

Pete, Before i reconfiger my second one. I put 6400 and motor on top of the black one. Did you leave motor on the bottom of wing?

Razor, 6400 for 6i mounted on top of wing.
