Hrm. I don't know man. What radio setup you using? You ever fly a 3d ship? I just built a lil ripper today and flew it. Flies like a dream and is a break from doing fast circuits around the field

That really sucks when a scratch built creation meets Earth on a maiden flight. If it's a store bought kit it can be replaced with only the loss of the $.. But losing something you cut, glue and sweat over is like losing a wife. Well not exactly. lol

Meteor looks good as new man. I prefer planes without landing gear anyway.

Man, thats a real bummer! Its even worse when caused by a failure that we cannot find after investigation.

I had a vision of a twin BANDIT !!! Twin tail ,flying elevs..in the 109% scale. I wonder if that would erase the long runout takeoffs.

You will have to use smaller fans most likely.

You could always make a bigger single fan one. Do a 90 size, like humbertomelo's Habu. Could even go with Twin tail ,flying elevs. Just square off the tail section a little.

Maybe something like this. Kind of resembles a Bandit! I have been looking at this myself. Hoover or die say his flys like a trainer. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...ght=e+scorpion A good strong 90 and retracts! Sweet!

I like the look of that alot ! The" big engine in little plane" comes from always creating outlandish machines. 454 in a Vega(my friends ride) In shop class we cut a '66 Caddy 4 door into an El Camino. My pedal car ended up w/ a Briggs and Stratton 5 horsepower on it. Hence my Tri Fighter project.

I really like this pic. I have have done a little of the preliminary work on it.
We all have to have grandious ideas, don't we? I rather like this definition:[ more complicated or elaborate than necessary; overblown.]

The E-Scorpion has a WS-49", Length-59. Through the magic of computors, I made a pdf of a 3-view Hover or die has on his build of the Scorpion. Printed it out and it came out at 50"WS, L-60", 2% larger. Of course it will have to have foam core wing, retracts, glassed intakes too!. Still working on the wing mounting to blend in with intakes? At about 9lb, wing loading would be 29.5oz sqft. And plenty of watts/lb!!! As you will see below.

Check out Hover or die's Mini build thead on the Scorpion, never saw such small intakes.

Now, that lead to how to power my JF 90. Snooping around I saw this video. See here:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...6&postcount=14

If you look at what humbertomelo has done with his Habu, nothing is impossible!

Still working on the feasibility of this. Besides, once I get the foam, I wll have 95% of it on hand. I have said to much as it is.
