BF...We both have tried a good amount of 3 axis gyros and quite frankly I have never had one fly this good and sim like out of the box...And so hands off too...already saved me over 100 bucks in parts in saves vs crashes...

Just to keep this a gyro only thread, I created a new thread for the 550e in the large heli section and removed some posts related to it. Sorry for the minor detour BF...

No problem with me. I'm just as likely to start talking about something off topic, plus it was great to see that new VCTRC 550DFC combo. If I hadn't already spent too much on my helis recently, I could be very tempted.

It was really gusty today, but as promised here's a short video of the ALZRC Devil 450 FAST using the VCTRC 3GX. Just cruising around at home, to show you how smooth it is, and to test out the fixed hat cam.

The entire flight was at 88% flat throttle. See the video description for more details about the heli.

ALZRC Devil 450 FAST with the VCTRC 3GX (3 min 31 sec)

I'll tell you. That Devil 450 body kit makes the 450 frame look so much bigger. The gyro flies as smooth as the HB800 and for less at the moment.

Really liking the look of that kit, in particular the color scheme you chose. If I weren't so set on my 550 upgrade, I'd be getting that...or maybe even one of the 480's.

The Deveil 480 Rigid looks great too for a more classic look.

I just watched a friend fly his devil 450 today. Now he is using the old 3cell packs and he has a micro servo on the tail, but his balanced with no problems and still had room to move the pack forward. Maybe you need heavier 6cell packs lol!

Interesting. My WinMax 50C batteries are up there in weight.

Yes, probably the micro servo helped. I was thinking I might try the Fitec FS9357D, instead of the DS520 with the part metal case.

Also the new V2 tail pitch slider setup must be heavier as well. Anything back there, really adds up. Perhaps I should also try some CF tail blades.

VCTRC 3GX gyro...

Hi bf,

Nice video, smooth flight, after some fine tuning my VCTRC 450 Pro FBL is flying now as smooth as yours, I really like this VCTRC 3GX beastX clone really really nice. I decide now to convert my V450D01 with this gyro ASAP. No more RX2702 headache...

The first set of 3G blades had perfect CG and only needed a little tape to balance the weights. Blades seem very stiff too. Well made.

Thanks Madog. I'm glad to hear your VCTRC 3GX is flying well also. It certainly makes this hobby more affordable with these good quality low priced units. I hope your V450D01 flies well with it, also.

Great looking blades, Sam. I might have to try some of these, as well.

I see there is also a 430mm version for the 500.
