I did a quick duct drawing for a single 25 mm fan. It would fit fine. I don't have much of a clue with split duct design. I need to find out some more about the shape, and area that works best.

Fiberglassed the tailerons. Came out to 0.80 grams each as pictured. Now I need to figure out how I'm going to secure them in the fuselage.

I think I figured out how I will go with the taileron pivot. I'll try to make a bushing from something fairly strong like aluminum, or maybe a plastic. I'll look at my scrap material to see what I have. I'll use heat shrink for a pivot tube, it'll be glued into the foam. Not sure if the heat shrink will be good enough, so might try it out in some scrap foam. The bushing will come in from the back, and the tailerons carbon shaft will be glued into the bushing.
I'll have to cut it appart if it ever needs fixed.

Got the vertical fins fiberglassed. They came out at 0.70 grams each. Started fiberglassing the tail of the fuselage. I probably went farther forward than needed, but I want it to be fairly stiff for the tailerons.

Rob, I agree in areas of strength, more is better and safer.

Looking great to date!

Started making the bushings for the tailerons. Looks like it will work out. Need to trim them to length.
Ordered some esc's. Turnigy Plush 6 amps. Hope they work out. If not I'll take my Pheonix 10 amps out of helicopters to use.
Added servo arms to the tailerons. Left both horns on it since I have not decided if I'll run the linkages on top, or under the wing.

Continued work on the taileron pivots. Decided to try a carbon tube for the bushing. I'm going to try to put a screw with a washer in the end to secure it. That way I can remove it easier if needed. I think I got it glued in fairly straight. Will wait till morning for it to harden, before I mess with it.

Continued cleaning up the pivots.
Thinking about if I will fiberglass the whole plane, or put carbon rods in the wings. I think it can take quite a bit of additional weight, but every time I think that I end up on the heavy side.

I will put the carbon rods in the wing. I still need to decide on fiberglass, or maybe Polycrylic to toughen the foam, or just paint.
I used little pieces of heat shrink to center the carbon tube for glueing. I'm also thinking about trimming the tailerons a little smaller.
edit: added the carbon rods, and trimmed a little on the tailerons.

Waiting for the esc's to arrive. Current weight of bare fuselage is a little higher than I thought it would be. It adds up fast. Going with a lighter lipo, and reciever so still a little ahead. Fuselage 18.2 grams, fans 16.2, Battery 500mah Hyperion 2 cell 32 grams, Servo's 8.6, esc's 10, reciever 2.5.
For a total of 87.5 grams.
That should give me room for any reinforcement, and paint.
