working on my elevators for my f-22
trying to get an old nitro f-22 flying again. tonight added the pivot joint/plate to the large elevators

found a bad tank. so have to replace. making the fiberglass covers for the motors.
motor/fans are in. and will be hooking up the throttles soon. will also need to glass the elevators soon. |

still working on it. throttles hooked up , cover made. engines plumbed and ready to test.

It is DO or DIE time. I have off and on been trying to restore this for over a year.
The elevators are balanced on the shafts to take mass loads from the servo. the primary controls are set up as ELEVONS and the ailerons are slaved to help. I used a power distribution system to help with the long leads and keep the system up to date . using a 2 cell lipo to power it . it is still with out gear doors, and just put primer on the parts to make it all grey and not multicolored. will try to prefire the motors before hitting the field SAT/Sun.... |
